PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2012
The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2012 is being held this year at the Atlantis Resort and Casino located on Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The PCA has been part of the international poker circuit since 2004 and last year’s event saw Galen Hall take an outstanding $2,300,000 home with over $15,000,000 shared among 200 players.
The end of day 4 saw pro poker player Faraz Jaka take the chip lead with over 4 million in chips after winning a massive pot over the 3 million mark against Larry Greenberg. Faraz Jaka, became chip leader for the second time in the event with an incredible lead over several players with 2million or more.
Day 4 of the main event started with 64 players, all trying to make it down to the remaining 24 players who will then fight for a place at the final table. The worst knock out surely came when Barry Greenstein got busted out of the tournament at the 25th place earning $46,000 as price money. Glen Hall is another great name of in the poker world to have been evicted from the event finishing at the 64th placing earning $32,500 as prize money.
The only female player still alive in the PCA 2012 title race is Xuan Liu. This 25 year old Canadian pro poker player came near to an incredible exploit when she was busted out of the EPT San Remo final table in 3rd place earning €360,000 as prize money. Lui could beat Ana Marquez and enter the PCA history, by being the woman to end up in the best place at the end of the tournament. Marquez for her part ended at the 10th spot in last year’s PCA event.
This year PCA tournament seems to be more open than ever and will surely come down to an exciting finale.
