PokerHeaven Launches New European Cash Game
The chill in the economy does not seem to have spread its wings to all parts of the world. Poker still continues to be a well sought after game in spite of the world passing through the economic crunch. While in US the financial crisis seems to have made its impact on the game, it still continues to thrive in the UK and other countries of Europe.
With the continuing demand for poker, the new poker game introduced by internet poker site Poker Heaven is scheduled to be broadcasted on a weekly basis and will featured on Fridays and will be hosted by the Poker channel. The viewers can enjoy the exclusive review of each poker tournament episode before the actual telecast on the Poker Channel.
The PokerHeaven European Cash Game consisting of special guests including Peter Eastgate, best known for being the WSOP winner of 2008.
Eastgate was featured on Oct 11th at the request of the viewer survey conducted by the Poker Network in April. Eric Liu, who is an instructor with CardRunners, took the fourth position in the EPT event held in London in 2008 and was the biggest winner of the poker tournament.
He took in a large win amounting to €70,000 in the game. While Eric Liu, Chris Haller Riku Vihreasarri and Albert Iversen, were the winning players, Andy Black, Neil Channingand Peter Eastgate incurred a loss.
With the TV Premiere to be aired every Friday, the further repeats on the network will be made across Europe on major terrestrial and cable networks including CNBC Europe, ESPN Classic, NASN and Prima TV (Romania), covering a total of 110 million TV homes in many countries.
The work of the producer of the series, Emblaze Productions, whose expertise were reflected in The Million Dollar Cash Game, European Poker Masters and The Million Pound Challenge is appreciated by millions of poker fans all around the world.
Besides targeting an audience of 110 million people across Europe, the Poker Channel also plans to make its debut by having Eric Liu help in teaching novices how to play the cash poker games.
