Cereus Poker Network Issues
The Cereus Poker network which comprises of Absolute Poker and UB Poker ( formerly Ultimate Bet ) is once again in the news for all of the wrong reasons.
The Cereus Poker rooms have in recent times had to content with security issues where a back door had been developed into the poker software that allowed some players to view other players hole cards.This caused a major furore in the poker workd and it seems another security breach has been found.
According to reports the Cereus Poker network has had to implement stronger SSL encryption to take care of another security breach. You would have thought that security would be their main concern on the network given the past history of the poker rooms.
According to reports the sites have had a ten percent drop in traffic in recent times due to the amount of tournaments that fellow US facing poker rooms are running. That in combination with the resurfacing security issues have meant that the Poker network has dropped from being the 6th largest to ninth place for poker cash games.
The Absolute Poker and UB.com poker rooms are still however endorsed by some serious poker celebrity endorsement. Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke are on the roster and the rooms remain widely popular in the US poker playing market. The Internet Poker team do hope that these security issues are given the attention that it warrants.
