Poker Affiliate Programs

The team at InternetPoker.co.uk have noted a number of poker rooms and their associated affiliate programs closing down in recent times. KS Poker and Windows Poker have both shut their doors after warning their poker players and ensuring that all player balances were paid they made an orderly exit from the Poker market.

It seems that margins are a lot tighter in the poker industry and unless you are actively marketing in the United States making a go of a poker room in the other markets has become an extremely difficult task. What with Rakeback and some poker networks policy on rakeback that are forcing smaller rooms with small amounts of players to go to the wall with a system of fines. Essentially it allows Poker rooms with larger marketing budgets to control an ever shrinking market.

Both of the major opertators outside of the US operate policies that restrict rakeback to players. The major network int his region is now the Ipoker network who have aquired a raft of UK sportsbetting sites including William Hill and Bet365.

Obviously for Poker players this does mean that there is a smaller amount of choice and only time will tell as to what further developments are going to occur in the world of Internet Poker.
